In their own words...
"Basically though, and this is the key, my week at Young Apostles helped me to grow deeper spiritually and fall in love with Jesus all over again, and so much more than ever!"
"I have been finding a lot of strength in the fact that I have a group of friends from Young Apostles who are helping me change into a more Christ centered person."

Share the Glory
Greetings in Christ! This summer over 32,000 teens and their sponsors will gather at one of the fifteen summer youth conferences across the country co-sponsored by Franciscan University. These high-energy, Spirit-filled weekends have been changing lives for over thirty years. We are continually humbled and amazed by the countless blessings poured out on all of the people involved with the conferences.
In 2005, we decided we wanted the conferences to bless more than those who were in attendance. That summer we initiated the “Share the Glory!” program. Each conference chose a ministry to adopt and then had teens who were coming collect food, blankets, baby items and other goods that could distributed to local community agencies. The response was beautiful with thousands of donations being passed on to those who serve the neediest of our society.
This year, “Share the Glory!” is teaming up with Catholic Extension and matching each conference with a parish from the Gulf Coast Region that was devastated by one of the hurricanes last fall. Each conference is asking their participants to collect different items that can be passed on to aid these parishes in their rebuilding efforts. It will be many years before things will be back to normal for the people of that region.
The following testimonies are from teens who lived through the destruction of the storm. Their stories and the photos from the Gulf Region may help you understand the needs for these people and this region that linger still today.

While the needs and ministries we serve may change each year, the “Share the Glory!” program will remain committed to providing a way for young people to give back the blessings that God is pouring out on them.
History
2005 – “Share the Glory!” begins and over 30,000 teens generously donate items to charities such as AIM Pregnancy Center, National Catholic Charities, Home Base Youth Services, Catholic Community Services, ALIVE Inc., Urban Mission Ministries, and many others.
2006 – In the wake of the devastating hurricanes this year, “Share the Glory!” focuses on aiding those in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region. The Youth Conferences team up with Catholic Extension and join their Parish Partnership Program which supports over 200 parishes in 88 different dioceses. This year, we are challenging our participants and their parishes to contribute in a big way with their charitable donations. With over 30,000 participants across the country, imagine the impact we can make! Each of our conference sites will be in touch with their attendees and leaders this spring concerning the supplies they can bring this summer.
